Recruitment scams offering non-existent jobs in UAE comes to light
Recruitment scams that offer fake and non-existent high-paid positions to job seekers – both online and in person – in reputed companies such as Adnoc, Etihad, Emirates airlines, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and other large enterprises based in the UAE, by charging a recruitment fee, have come to light.
While fake letterheads and logo are used, the websites are cloned tricking the job hunters to believe that the employment offers are genuine. These fraudsters often shortlist their victims by accessing resumes uploaded on employment websites.
They then pose as authorized recruiters of leading companies and try to collect a fee from the job seekers under the guise of visa charges or processing fees. Following this development, some companies such as Etihad and Emirates airlines have posted warnings on their websites with the aim of creating awareness of the said recruitment scams.
