Dubai ranked as the most expensive tourist destination on this planet
A new study conducted by airport transfer website Hoppa has ranked Dubai as the world’s most expensive tourist destination based on the average cost of six things British tourists normally buy on holidays – a cup of coffee, hotel room for one night, meal for two, a pint of beer, a bottle of wine and taxi fares.
Revealing that Dubai has the most expensive hotel rooms, the study said on an average a tourist would have to spend nearly £280 for a one-night stay in the emirate. Similarly, a five-night stay for two in Dubai would cost nearly £2,800.
Meanwhile, New York with an average £256.80 for a one-night stay has been ranked as the second most expensive destination, while Budapest has emerged as the most affordable tourist destination, with the cheapest hotel rates at just £23.23 a person per night.
