Kiosks will soon have facility to renew your health insurance policies

With the aim of streamlining the health insurance sector and improving the services offered, the UAE government has recently formulated a new ‘Fees and Fines Health Insurance Law’ that will soon enable renewal of insurance policies through kiosks set up at shopping malls and petrol pumps.

Revealing this, Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Director Dr Haidar Al Yousuf said UAE residents who already have annual essential health benefit insurance cover will be able to renew their policies by swiping their National ID or insurance card at these kiosks and by paying up the corresponding fees using their credit cards.

Furthermore, the policies can also be renewed by visiting the DHA website. Meanwhile, the fees for the essential health benefit package for low income groups have been reduced to AED 560-650 per annum from AED 625-700 earlier.
